“In his name the nations will put their hope.” Matthew 12:21 (NIV)
The season of Christmas is a season of hope! In the manger on that first Christmas morning lay the hope for a world lost in its sin. The Bible tells us that before the coming of Christ we were left, “having no hope and without God in the world.”
A world without Christ was a world without hope. But now those who were in darkness have seen a great light. And, “now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. Ephesians 2:12-13 (NAS)”
In the manger God gave us the pathway to fellowship with Him. Jesus has bridged the gap that existed between man and God and now we have the blessed hope of fellowship with the father. Jesus breaks through the veil of separation and has, “entered, (the holy of holies) for us. Because of this he is the, “Hope set before us. Hebrews 6:18 (NKJV)”
